Why NPEG was created
Program leaders need an outside view.
Nursing-program leaders are often responsible for maintaining complex systems while simultaneously teaching, managing faculty, coordinating clinical education, supporting students, responding to institutional priorities, and preparing for external expectations.
That proximity is valuable—but it can also make vulnerabilities difficult to see.
NPEG was created to provide program leaders with an independent, practical perspective focused on how the program actually operates.
Is the policy clear? Is practice consistent with it? Do faculty understand it the same way? Can the program demonstrate implementation?

Brian Headley, RN, BSN, MBA
Nurse educator and program-coordination/operations leader with approximately 10 years of critical-care nursing experience and more than five years in nursing education.
Experience includes program coordination, clinical and laboratory coordination, curriculum and assessment, simulation, faculty support, clinical onboarding, program evaluation, policy/process development, and accreditation/regulatory readiness activities.
